Rick ‘Little Ricky’ Ulmschneider

Open Water Diver / swiss army bro - maintenance

Rick “LittleRicky” Ulmschneider is the heartbeat behind the day-to-day operations at Scuba Techie. As the facility manager and maintenance lead, Rick keeps everything running smoothly—from equipment upkeep and property care to problem-solving the countless behind-the-scenes tasks that keep a dive center functioning at its best. His reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail make him an essential part of the Scuba Techie team and the guest experience.

Rick is also a solid, confident open water diver—trained personally by his brother, Dene—which gives him a strong understanding of both the gear he maintains and the needs of the divers who use it. His hands-on knowledge of diving, combined with his technical skill set, allows him to support students, visiting instructors, and staff with an ease that comes from truly understanding how a dive operation works from the inside out.

Whether he’s fixing a compressor issue before anyone else notices, prepping the grounds for a busy weekend, or assisting divers with gear needs, Rick brings dedication and a no-nonsense work ethic that keeps Scuba Techie operating at a high level every single day.

If you’ve visited Scuba Techie, you’ve seen Rick’s impact—even if you didn’t realize it. He’s the quiet force that keeps the entire place running.
